St. Francis Pilgrimages
The mission of St. Francis Pilgrimages is to create intimate, personal spiritual journeys offering a more intense spiritual experience in Italy. Bret and Katia Thoman, SFO are a secular Franciscan husband-wife team from Italy and our pilgrimages reflect our in-depth knowledge of the spiritual places there. Further, we involve the presence of locals—both Religious and lay—who accompany the groups with prayer, reflections, and fellowship, adding a deeper spiritual dimension. Our itineraries include some familiar destinations in Italy like Rome and Assisi, but also the hidden places known only to locals, avoiding the crowds of tourists. We have organized and personally journeyed with over 18 groups—both large and small—including parishes, secular Franciscan fraternities and regions, universities, retreat centers, families, and small groups.
